Wembley Stadium, with its rich footballing history, will play host to the UEFA Champions League final for the third time, following memorable editions in 2011 and 2013. The venue's iconic status is further solidified by its previous hosting of five finals at the original Wembley Stadium, spanning from 1963 to 1992. Meanwhile, the runner-up stands to bolster their UEFA Coefficient, potentially earning a place in future competitions via the ranking pathway.

London's selection as the host city for the 2024 final was initially slated for 2023, in commemoration of the centenary of the original Wembley Stadium. However, due to the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final, the honor was shifted to 2024, ensuring that this iconic venue continues to be at the heart of footballing history. As anticipation builds and football fans around the world eagerly await the grand spectacle, the 2024 UEFA Champions League final promises to deliver drama, excitement, and unforgettable moments on the hallowed grounds of Wembley Stadium.

The 2024 Tour de France (June 29 - July 21, France)

The 2024 Tour de France is gearing up to be an exhilarating spectacle, marking the 111th edition of this prestigious cycling event. Scheduled to kick off on June 29th in Florence, Italy, and culminating on July 21st in Nice, France, this year's Tour promises thrills and challenges like never before.

For the first time in its illustrious history, the Tour de France will break from tradition and forego its iconic finish in or near Paris. This deviation is attributed to preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, signaling a unique twist in the race's trajectory.

Twenty-two teams will grace the peloton, comprising all 18 UCI WorldTeams and four UCI ProTeams. Among the invited ProTeams are Lotto–Dstny and Israel–Premier Tech, along with Uno-X Mobility and Team TotalEnergies, specially selected by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), the Tour's organizers.

Italy, known for its rich cycling heritage, will host the Grand Départ for the first time in Tour history. The significance of this choice is underscored by the fact that 2024 marks the centenary of Italy's maiden Tour victory, achieved by Ottavio Bottecchia in 1924. Additionally, the route will venture into the microstate of San Marino, adding another layer of intrigue to the race.

The route for the 2024 Tour de France promises to be grueling, with riders bracing themselves for a tough and relentless journey. Notable features include gravel tracks on stage 9 and limited opportunities for sprinters, presenting a formidable test of endurance and skill for all participants.

In a departure from recent tradition, the Tour will conclude in Nice with an individual time trial. The last time a time trial served as the final stage was back in 1989, adding an extra layer of drama and unpredictability to the race's climax.
